A project in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina intends to promote the development of IoT. Through a collective financing campaign, the CERTI Foundation in Florianopolis is seeking to raise BRL 30.000 to produce and distribute approximately 100 units of CERTI NIO. The first IoT platform produced in Latin America to run Linux, the board has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules to connect common electronic equipment, such as cameras and appliances, to the internet. The main components of CERTI NIO are provided by STMicroelectronics.
