With an aim to reduce immense stress, the district police personnel organised tug of war game at the district police line, Nehru Nagar, wherein DIG and senior officials participated on Sunday.
After a report was recenttly out revealing that the suicides committed by police personnel were not due to continuous work but other reasons, police officials have started to work in the direction to make police personnel stress free.
Among these efforts, tug of war game was organised for district police force officials and personnel.
The team IG played at its best and won the two matches. Two rounds of semifinal were won by team DIG.
Zone 4 and Zone 5 lost their matches in the initial round. The Zone 1 team was lead by ASP Dharmveer Yadav in which SHO Pritam Singh and ASI Awdesh Bhadoria and others were teammates.
CSP Virendra Mishra, CSP Rashmi Kharya, SHO Brijesh Bhargava, Mahendra Mishra and Baljot Singh formed team Zone 2 and was lead by CSP Mishra.Besides organizing the game, the police personnel losing their lives is alarming as in the past five years 69 police personnel have committed suicide.
The welfare department of police instructed all the Superintendents of Police on December 26 to submit report of reason behind the suicide within two days and in the report all sorts of reasons were revealed like relationship, family welfare, illness and others and later the department concluded that none of the deaths were due to excessive continuous work and differences with senior officials leading to tussle.
