Cape Town - Star All Blacks flyhalf Beauden Barrett has proposed to his girlfriend - and she said YES!

Barrett popped the question to his partner Hannah Laity in Fiji where the pair are holidaying.

"She's a tough one to surprise but I got her good this time. Thankfully she said yes", Barrett posted on his Instagram.

Laity shared footage of the pair celebrating with champagne on the beach.

Barrett, 26, who late last year was named World Rugby's Player of the Year for a second time, has played 62 Tests to date for New Zealand.

Barrett will be a key component of the Hurricanes' Super Rugby title challenge started next month.
