A man was rescued from freezing waters in a North Argyll loch as temperatures plummeted yesterday.
The man, who was working on oyster trellises, was found face down in Loch Creran, north of Oban, after the alarm was raised yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services, including Oban RNLI lifeboat, Oban volunteer coastguard team, a rescue helicopter, and police and ambulance vehicles were sent to the scene.

The man’s condition is currently unknown. A Police Scotland spokesman said last night: “It’s an ongoing police incident, there are no further details at this time.”
Meanwhile, a search was launched yesterday after reports a microlight was seen falling towards woods near Stirling.
The alarm was raised by two members of the public who said they spotted the aircraft descending near Cambusbarron at around 4pm.
Fire service, ambulance, police and mountain rescue teams were all deployed to search the wooded area, just south of the village.
Police Scotland urged members of the public to avoid the area to allow the operation to be carried out unimpeded.
