My Rescue Pet: Bob and Todd

Bob and Todd were tied together in a plastic bag and left to die.

If it were not for the quick thinking of their discoverer who thought to take them to the Auckland SPCA straight away, it was unlikely they would have survived.

Starving, weak, with matted and stained fur, it was going to be a long road to recovery for the pair.

After a lengthy process, including intensive medical care, long stints with a foster family and two months with the SPCA, they were adopted.

Their new mother Tracey Wu saw their story on Facebook and had to have them.

They now enjoy a free range life of eating grass and hopping around as they please.

"Their favourite place to chill out when they have playtime is under the rose bush, before retreating back to their warm and comfy hutch for bed time," Wu says.
