UP man arrested for forcing kids to beg

PANAJI: Goa Police on Saturday arrested Salim Nathtu, 69, a native of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, for pushing minor children into begging in Panaji.

Nathu was arrested under IPC Section 370 (trafficking of person), Section 8 of the Goa Children's Act and other sections. He was nabbed after the Panaji police received a complaint that he was using three minor children for begging and living off their earnings. The police rescued the children and seized Rs 250 in different denominations.
