Sugar prices rise on brisk demand, thin supply

Sugar prices firmed up by Rs 50 per at the wholesale market in the national capital today following strong demand amid restricted arrivals.

Marketmen said besides tight supplies, heavy buying by stockists and bulk consumers mainly pushed up sugar prices.
