SLFP founder commemorated

A commemorative event to mark the 119th birth anniversary of the founder of Sri Lanka Freedom Party, S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike was held today (Jan. 08) in front of the late premier's statue in Galle Face.

President Mathripala Sirisena and former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga paid floral tributes first followed by Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Mahinda Amaraweera, Susil Premajayantha, Duminda Dissanayake and other participants.

The members of the Bandaranaike family also took part in the event.
