School student arrested for rape

Police have arrested a 17-year-old school student for allegedly raping a 13-year-old school girl at Ichchankulam, Vavuniya.

Police probe revealed that they have had a love affair.

The school girl's mother has lodged a complaint with police about this incident.

Later the girl was admitted to Vavuniya Hospital for a medical test and the suspected youth will be produced before courts.
