Mumbai: AIMS Hospital in Dombivli vandalised after death of patient, staff hurt

Mumbai: Asian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) located at Industrial area in Dombivli was vandalised on Sunday after death of patient. A staff has been reported to be injured.
According to reports from police department, Nilam Patil, residence of Nilaje in Dombivli was admitted for the treatment of pneumonia on Saturday night. She died on Sunday afternoon due to infection in lungs. “She was serious at the time of admission and was died due to infection,” said Avdesh Sharma, public relation officer of the hospital.
Meanwhile, once her relatives came to know about her death, around eight to ten people from her family attacked hospital and cracked LCD TV and glass door at the entrance lobby. Ajay Jadhav, working as driver on hospital owned vehicle was injured. Gajanan Kabdule, senior police inspector is probing the issue.
