0.00am: Luis Suarez has already secured a house for new Barcelona team-mate Philippe Coutinho.

Upon in arrival in Barcelona, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu questioned which hotel the Brazilian would stay in, but Suarez intervened.

He said: “No, presidente, there is no need for a hotel. I already have a house for him.”

And the 25-year-old is grateful that Suarez, who he played with for one season, has been so helpful.

“He saw that a house next to his became available,” he told The Daily Mail.

“He didn't know I was coming for certain but he liked the idea. It's a kind gesture.

“We've seen the pictures, the views look amazing. We are in touch all the time and I look forward to seeing the property with my family. I know Luis will help us to feel at home.”

11pm: Antoine Griezmann will demand £400,000-a-week if Manchester United attempt to sign him this summer.

The Frenchman was linked with a switch from Atletico Madrid to Old Trafford last year but the move never materialised.

Jose Mourinho is rumoured to be considering going back in for him for £89m at the end of the season but will face stiff competition from Barcelona.

And according to The Sun, the 26-year-old is willing to try his hand in the Premier League if the offer is right and is ready to snub Barca.

Griezmann reportedly agreed on a wage of £290,000-a-week last summer but he now wants to be on parity with other superstars that are making big-money moves.

10.20pm: Arsene Wenger insists he will look to strengthen his Arsenal squad after they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest.

"No, I cannot give you any news on any transfer because we are not close to signing anybody," Wenger said after the defeat at the City Ground.

"We signed a Greek boy [Konstantinos Mavropanos] who looks quite good in training but apart from that, we have not done anything.

"Will we be out there to do something? Yes we will."

Asked whether there could be further developments this week, Wenger added: “Yes because we are in the second week of January. After that, it passes quickly.”

9pm: Paris St-Germain star Lucas Moura is ready to reject four clubs in order to join Manchester United, according to reports in France.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his wide options in the transfer market.

And reports in France claim United have received a huge boost in their pursuit to sign Brazilian Moura this month.

Telefoot claim Moura has attracted interest from Bordeaux, Nantes, Nice and Real Betis but has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.

7.30pm: Philippe Coutinho’s arrival at Barcelona will signal the end of Andres Iniesta’s Nou Camp career.

The midfield maestro is moving Barca from Liverpool - subject to a medical - for a mammoth £142m fee.

And according to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, the deal will see Iniesta eased out of the first-team fold.

6pm: Luis Suarez is delighted to be reunited with Philippe Coutinho at Barcelona.

"I am very happy with the arrival of Coutinho," ex-Liverpool man Suarez said.

"He's a great player. It's a profile that the team will enter very well."
