Man Utd target Antoine Griezmann ready to snub Barcelona if HUGE wage demands are met

ANTOINE GRIEZMANN will demand £400,000-a-week if Manchester United attempt to sign him this summer.

The Frenchman was linked with a switch from Atletico Madrid to Old Trafford last year but the move never materialised.

Jose Mourinho is rumoured to be considering going back in for him for £89m at the end of the season but will face stiff competition from Barcelona.

And according to The Sun, the 26-year-old is willing to try his hand in the Premier League if the offer is right and is ready to snub Barca.

Griezmann reportedly agreed on a wage of £290,000-a-week last summer but he now wants to be on parity with other superstars that are making big-money moves.

A Sun source said: “The goalposts have moved significantly since the first attempt to sign Griezmann.

“The package offered last year which was agreed is now a lot less than what he wants next summer.

“It might be too much even for us to afford. The club is desperate to sign him but it is an awful lot of money.

“His people are making different demands which the club might be reluctant to give in to.”

Diego Costa GETTY

Diego Costa is back at Atletico Madrid after three years with Chelsea

Atletico are likely to reject any offers made this month as they look to close the nine point gap on La Liga leaders Barcelona.

But they’re willing to negotiate in the summer and the return of Diego Costa from Chelsea means there’s less pressure to keep him.
