Stars of the Day: Notre Dame, Quest athletes shine

Colton Paulson, Notre Dame boys swimming: The Irish senior won two individual events and swam on two winning relay teams to help Notre Dame to a second-place finish at the Champaign Centennial Charger Invite. Paulson set meet records in both the 200 (1:41.59) and 500 (4:37.51) freestyle events, led off ND's winning 200 medley relay race and anchored the team's winning 400 freestyle relay.

Avierre Ross, Quest Academy boys basketball: Ross scored a team-high 18 points to go with a game-high 13 rebounds in guiding the Gators to a 71-68 victory over Decatur St. Teresa in the Red Lion Shootout at Lincoln Christian University. The senior also had two steals, two assists and a block.
