Man City transfer news: Sky Sports man predicts signing will arrive this month

MANCHESTER CITY will delve into the transfer market to sign someone this month, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

Pep Guardiola wants to take Alexis Sanchez away from Arsene Wenger

City are interested in Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez and West Brom centre-back Jonny Evans as they look to strengthen now the window has reopened.

Sanchez, 29, is out of contract at the end of the season and wants to move to Manchester City.

He agreed a switch to the Etihad last summer although the move broke down on deadline day when Arsenal couldn't source a replacement.

Evans, 30, is being lined up by City too although boss Alan Pardew has insisted no offer has been made.

Transfer expert Sheth, however, thinks one move will be done.

Alexis Sanchez wants to leave Arsenal when his contract runs out

He told the Transfer Talk podcast: "I'll put my neck on the block, I think they will sign someone in this window.

"They are looking for a centre-half. They said they are interested in Jonny Evans but we're still waiting for that bid.

"Alan Pardew said no bid as yet - as yet is the key phrase.

"Alexis Sanchez, I think they will go in for him.

"Arsenal are very determined to hang on to him but I don't know whether they will sell."
