No, it’s not a cookbook.

Between starring in her popular cooking show The Barefoot Contessa and authoring 10 cookbooks, it’s a miracle that Ina Garten has any time to read at all. But when she’s done in the kitchen, she returns to her roots in business with a surprising pick: a 656-page biography about Apple’s core innovator.

In an interview for the podcast How to Be Amazing, the Food Network star and bestselling author told host Michael Ian Black that she emphatically recommends Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson for it’s exploration into Job’s entrepreneurial and creative spirit. “I get up in the middle of the night to read it,” Garten said. “It’s just wonderful.”

Though this might seem like a surprising choice for such a well-known foodie, Garten revealed early in the podcast that she is just as business-minded as she is food-minded. In college, she graduated with an economics degree and even has her MBA. She credits this mindset (and the support from her husband Jeffery) for helping her attain success.

“In my own little world, I’m a little in [Steve Job’s] direction,” she said. “I admire that kind of passion and insistence on quality.”
