That’s according to the Telegraph who reckon Jurgen Klopp is keen to fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho.
The midfield maestro is moving to Barca from Liverpool - subject to a medical - for a mammoth £142m fee.
The mega deal was announced yesterday following months of speculation.
Jurgen Klopp wanted to sell his prized asset next summer.
But the Anfield heavyweights have given in to pressure from Barca and Coutinho.
It’s suggested Coutinho’s impending exit could see the Reds push for Keita’s arrival during this transfer window.
A £57m deal for the 22-year-old has already been rubber stamped.

“Naby Keita could head to Liverpool early”
However, he’s remained on loan at RB Leipzig for the remainder of this season.
That could be about to change though.
Liverpool might offer more cash to bring the exciting youngster to Anfield in the coming weeks.
Ex-Fleet Street journalist Ian McGarry reckons an early arrival could definitely be on the cards.
McGarry said on The Transfer Window podcat: "Despite the protestations of RB Leipzig about Naby Keita not joining Liverpool before his agreed date of signing on July 1, I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't moved forward a few months with the sweetener of an extra few quid.
"I think that might be the surprise package of this whole movement of players in and out of Liverpool."
