A COFFEE shop in the centre of Southampton is set to close its doors for the last time.

Mettricks' outlet at East Bargate opened two and a half years ago but will now shut to make way for the city's new Bargate development.

The company's Guildhall Square, Old Town and Woolston coffee houses will not be affected by the move.

A Mettricks statement says: "All of our neighbours have packed up, and Mettricks Bargate is the last business standing.

"By the end of Sunday our small, wedge space will be empty too.

"Pop by and see us right up until the end for speciality coffee and a limited menu, to be part of an end of an era."
