Liverpool news: Guillem Balague makes huge claim on Philippe Coutinho replacement
LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp is not bothered in bringing in a replacement for Philippe Coutinho in this transfer window.
That is according to Sky Sports’ transfer expert Guillem Balague.
Philippe Coutinho completed his £142million move from Liverpool to Barcelona last night, signing a five-and-a-half-year contract.
Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez and Monaco star Thomas Lemar are two players linked with a winter switch to Anfield.
However, Balague says Klopp feels comfortable the squad he has got can help reach their targets this season and is wary of overspending this month due to the money they have in the bank.

I’ve got the impression that Liverpool feel that they’ve got enough with what they have
“It seems like Klopp is not that bothered in terms of ‘let’s get somebody now just because we have the money’ because of all of a sudden when Liverpool knock on doors and say ‘we want that player’ they’ll say ‘well you’ve got €150m or €160m that you just got’,” Balague said on Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast.
“No (he doesn’t need replacing), but every team can be improved.
“But does he need to do it under bad conditions in the market? Because they will go into the market handicapped.
“Are they trying to get (Naby) Keita? They would like to have Keita today if possible.

“I’m not sure they’re going to let him go, Keita will arrive (in the summer).
“What’s the target here? Top Four.
"I’ve got the impression that Liverpool feel that they’ve got enough with what they have to actually be a top-four side at the end of the season.”
