Dancing on Ice 2018 start date: When does Dancing on Ice start?
DANCING ON ICE 2018 will be making its long-awaited comeback this weekend after a four-year absence from our screens. But when does the new series start?
When does Dancing on Ice 2018 start?
The new series will be kicking off on Sunday, January 7 on ITV at 6pm.
Dancing on Ice will run for two hours and see six of the 12 celebrities performing with their professional skating partner for the first time.
This week Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, Stephanie Waring, Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton, athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton, X Factor star Jake Quickenden and Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown will be taking to the ice.
Each of the couples will be awarded scores from the Ice Panel for their performances.
After all six of the couples have performed, the phone lines will be opened to the public to vote and the bottom two will be revealed.
However, no one will be eliminated in the first week.
Instead, the bottom two couples will face the skate off next week when one star and their partner will be sent home.
Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will alternate each week in the role of the head judge and in the event of a tie in the skate off, they will pass the deciding vote on who to save.
The remaining six couples will be taking to the rink the following week when they will go through the same process.
Although not all of the celebrities will be performing this week, there will be a special group routine to open the first show.
There will also be a performance from the skating professionals during the programme.
