ERAU 59, Eckerd 55
ST. PETERSBURG — Embry-Riddle (10-4, 4-3 Sunshine State) overcame a 17-point deficit to rally at Eckerd (11-4, 5-4) on Saturday.
"We are really proud of the team for playing the way we are capable of and sticking to the game plan,” ERAU coach Lisa Nuxol-Wilson said. “We had a rough night against Lynn (72-52 loss Wednesday) and worked on our mental toughness and staying together, and it showed today. With Sabrina (Whiting) out and two starters in foul trouble, it was a total team effort and focus, and that includes every one of our players who didn't get in the game. I love the genuine team-first mentality we have!”
The Eagles' Tara Fields had a game-high 20 points to go with nine rebounds. Sigrid Sandstrom and Lauren Ellenberger had nine points apiece, with Sandstrom pulling down seven rebounds.
ERAU next hosts Nova Southeastern at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Howard led 47-32 with 9:02 remaining, but Williams scored 11 of the 19 Wildcats’ fourth-quarter points as they forced overtime with a Chasimmie Brown layup that made it 51-51 with 31 seconds remaining.
Hunt also had five assists and five steals as B-CU extended its MEAC regular-season winning streak to 12 and its MEAC road winning streak to 11.
Brown had 13 points and eight rebounds, while Angel Golden scored 12.
The Wildcats next visit Maryland-Eastern Shore at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
FGCU 80, Stetson 40
FORT MYERS — Florida Gulf Coast (15-3, 1-0 ASUN) made 12 3-pointers en route to a victory over Stetson (9-8, 0-1).
Jordan Tully and Brittney Chambers each scored 11 points to lead the Hatters, who trailed 38-17 at halftime.
"We didn't do anything right offensively. Couldn't make a free throw, couldn't make a lay-up," Stetson coach Lynn Bria said.
"Not taking away anything from FGCU, they are very, very good, but they didn't do anything that we didn't expect. We just couldn't do anything right. We couldn't generate any offense at all. Nothing."
The Hatters shot just 35 percent and 33 percent from the free-throw line. The Eagles held a 41-22 advantage on the glass and a 13-0 edge in second-chance points.
"We have to get a lot better," Bria said. "I think we are playing the best team in our league (in FGCU). I am encouraged by the fact that we know what we have to do, but we have to get a lot better."
Stetson next hosts USC Upstate at 1 p.m. Saturday.
