CHANDIGARH: A daily wager brutally stabbed his wife's paramour to death in the Bhagat Singh Colony of Hisar on Saturday night.
The accused, identified as Ajit Singh, and his brother
Sonu Singh have been booked and arrested in a case of murder at City police station.
On Monday, they will be produced in the court for police remand, said Om Parkash, SHO of city police station.
According to information, Ajit Singh (32) had married three year ago. He came in contact with
Mukesh, the victim in connection of installation of water boosting pump two years ago.
Ajit's wife allegedly developed an intimacy with Mukesh and the two eloped. Two months ago, Ajit's wife returned and started staying with him. But Mukesh again started visiting her.
Despite objections from Ajit, Mukesh and his wife continued to meet each other. Police said on Saturday evening, Ajit and his brother
Sonu stopped Mukesh near a milk booth in Bhagat Singh Colony.
The two started stabbing him after a brief altercation. They kept on stabbing till Mukesh fell. An unconscious Mukesh was rushed to Civil Hospital of Hisar where he was declared brought dead.
Meanwhile, his family reached the hospital and lodged the formal complaint.
"A murder case was registered. We have arrested both the accused. They will be produced in the court for remand. Meanwhile, we have handed over the body after the postmortem examination,'' said Om Parkash.
