Myrtle Beach fallen officer honored on 15th anniversary of death

A memorial service was held for fallen Myrtle Beach Police officer Joe McGarry on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017. McGarry was killed in the line of duty on Dec. 29, 2002. A large crowd of family and fellow officers gathered around his monument near the Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center on Friday to remember his life.

Couple accused in double murder denied bond

Kenneth Wayne Carlisle, 28, and Jordan Marie Hodge, 21, were denied bond in Horry County court today on charges of murdering 64-year-old Linda McAllister and 45-year-old William Clemons. Hodge was McAllister’s granddaughter, according to a statement from McAllister’s family. Hodges mother, Dara Hodge, begged Judge Steven John to deny bond for her daughter stating, "She killed my mother and her new husband. Dragged her out like trash." Monday, December 12, 2017.
