Horry County schools were the latest to announce that they will operate on a two-hour delay schedule Monday morning, while Georgetown County schools switched from a two-hour delay to a cancellation for students, teachers and staff.
Earlier in the day Georgetown County schools announced their delayed schedule due to extremely low temperatures and ice on side streets and secondary roads, according to a release.
All buses for Horry County will run on a two-hour delay. All 240 and 246-day employees are to report at regular times and custodial employees will be notified by their supervisors, according to a release. School buildings will open at their regular times to accommodate students who need to be dropped off by parents, the release states.
Only 240-day Georgetown County employees are to report on a two-hour delay Monday.
Both Horry and Georgetown county schools closed their doors last week due to Winter Storm Grayson that brought snow and ice to the Grand Strand.
