VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) --
Visalia police are searching for a suspect who took a car while it was occupied.Officers responded to a call involving a stolen car at West Goshen Avenue and Plaza Drive just before 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
When officers arrived, they learned that two people were inside the vehicle at the time of the theft.
Police officers spotted the stolen car and attempted to pull the suspect over. That is when they said the suspect led them on a high-speed chase.
During the pursuit, officers learned the suspect had released the two victims shortly after stealing the car and the pursuit was ultimately canceled.
The two victims involved were not injured during the car theft.
The investigation will be turned over to Visalia Police detectives.
