ALEXANDRIA – The Covenant Christian Academy boys soccer team won the white division of the CenLa Cup held at Bolton High School on Saturday.
The Lions (5-3-2 overall) defeated Tioga 1-0 and tied Runnels 2-2 on Saturday.
Gavin Chaisson scored the only goal in the win over Tioga. Hunter Coffman got the shutout win as goalie.
Malachi Ayo and Jahkeem Mosely both scored goals in the 2-2 tie against Runnels.
HOUMA CHRISTIAN BOYS WIN TWO
At New Orleans, Houma Christian’s boys soccer team picked up a 2-1 win over Patrick Taylor and a 2-1 win over Fisher at LaSalle Park
Bailey Robichaux and Brayden Hebert both scored in the win over Patrick Taylor, while goalie Mason Zeringue had a save in goal.
Greyson Goolsby and Hebert both scored in the win over Fisher, and Zeringue recorded two saves in the win.
Houma Christian improved to 7-3-1 overall with the win.
VANDY PLAYS THREE AT TOURNEY
At Lafayette, Vandebilt's boys soccer team finished with a 0-2-1 record at the Elite invitational de Louisiane 18 tournament on Saturday.
Vandebilt tied Denham Springs and Captain Shreve with identical 1-1 scores. Clinton Erny scored a goal against Denham Springs, and Brian Gramajo scored a goal against Captain Shreve.
The Terriers (8-5-4 overall) fell to East Ascension, 2-1. Clay Collins scored the only goal.

LADY LIONS DROP GAME AT CHAPELLE
At Houma, Archbishop Chapelle picked up a 4-0 win over CCA on Saturday.
The match was scoreless at halftime. CCA fell to 3-8 overall.
