Hubballi: A meeting of various organizations here on Sunday resolved to recommend the state government to name

The meeting, held under the leadership of BJP corporator Shivanand Muttannavar, was attended by various Kannada organisations, fan clubs of actor Shivarajkumar and others. Muttannavar told TOI that the meeting also decided to recommend the state government to urge the Centre to name Belagavi airport after
Kittur Rani Chennamma.
Muttannavar also said that the meeting also wanted under construction

Basavanna. The meeting has also resolved to recommend the government to name Hubballi railway station after
Siddharoodha Swami.
There have demands from other organizations to name the airport after social reformer Basaveshwar and Siddaroodha Swami.

Lingayat organization on Saturday demanded that the Hubballi airport be named after Basaveshwar. A few others are mounting pressure on the government to name the facility after Sidharoodha Swami.
