Saudi Shura Council Speaker to participate in GCC meeting

RIYADH, 7th January, 2018 (WAM) -- Saudi Arabia's Shura Council Speaker, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, will participate in the 11th periodic meeting of the heads of Shura, representatives, parliaments, national and Ummah councils in the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC, countries for Arab States. The meeting is scheduled to take place on 8th January in Kuwait.

The Saudi Press Agency, SPA, reported that the event - held under the patronage of Kuwait's Emir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah - will be attended by GCC Secretary-General, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.

According to the agency, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed affirmed that this meeting comes in the midst of political circumstances and changes witnessed by the region, "and it is a significant opportunity to unify our visions and joint actions."
