MOUNT VERNON, Iowa — The Knox College men’s basketball team remained winless in the Midwest Conference after falling to Cornell 67-53 on Saturday.

The Rams (8-5, 3-3) scored the first points of the game with 19:51 left in the first half and never trailed.

The Prairie Fire (2-1, 0-6) entered the break down 37-23 and matched Cornell point-for-point in the second half.

Deryk Ruple had 14 points and DJ Lewis finished with 13 to lead Knox. Blake Godbold pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds for the Fire.
