DHAKA: A pedestrian was killed as a local bus ran him over at Shahbag intersection in Dhaka on Sunday noon (January 7).
The deceased was identified as Abul Hasem, 50, a security guard of Janata Bank Banglamotor branch.
One pedestrian Shaon told Banglanews that Hashem was critically injured after getting hit by the bus in front of the National Museum at Shahbag and rushed Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) emergency department. He died while undergoing treatment around 3:00pm
On information, Zahirul Islam, an official of Janata Bank went to DMCH and identified Abul as one of their security guard.
DMCH police camp in-charge SI Bacchu Mia told Banglanews that the body is being kept at hospital morgue.
