ADELBODEN, Switzerland (AP) — Marcel Hirscher, the six-time defending World Cup overall champion, was dominant again in the first run of a slalom on Sunday.

Seeking a third win in four days, Hirscher skied conservatively by his standards to be 0.25 seconds faster than his Austria teammate Michael Matt.

Andre Myhrer of Sweden was 0.44 back in third, and fourth-placed Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway had 0.71 to make up in the afternoon second run. Only those racers were within one second of the lead.

Hirscher has won three straight traditional slaloms on the World Cup circuit, though Myhrer won a parallel racing slalom event on Jan. 1.

On Saturday, Hirscher also won the classic giant slalom on the Chuenisbaergli hill and extended his lead over Kristoffersen in the overall standings.
