In a freak accident, at least 11 people were killed on Sunday after a speeding truck hit a three-wheeler and took a tumble, crushing a car and some passersby.
Those who were killed include two women, six men, two children and a youth.
The incident took place around 4 pm when the truck, on its way to Kanpur from Agra, lost balance while taking a sharp turn on a busy national highway and hit a three-wheeler. It then took a tumble, crushing a car and passersby, police said.
A JCB machine was used to remove the debris and pull out the bodies.
The truck driver is absconding.
