High Court gets 3 new Judges

Acting Chief Justice DN Patel on Saturday administered oath of office and secrecy to three newly appointed Judges — Rajesh Kumar, Kailash Prasad Deo and Anubha Rawat Chaudhary — at White House Conference Hall on the premises of Jharkhand High Court.

All the three newly appointed judges were recommended by former Chief Justice Virender Singh and later reiterated for their appointment by acting Chief Justice DN Patel.

Justice Ashutosh Kumar and Justice Anil Kumar Upadhyaya of Patna High Court were also present to mark the occasion.  

Justice Anubha Rawat Chaudhary belongs to Ranchi who did her schooling from Guru Nanak School and went to Delhi University to do graduation in Physics.

She later completed her law degree from there and came down to her home town Ranchi to started practice at Jharkhand High Court in 1995. She has been a counsel of the Government of India and also worked as panel lawyer of different banks as well. She is also a board member of Jharkhand Legal Services Authority.

Justice Kailash Deo, belonging to Jasidih in Deoghar, was born in 1967 and got his elementary education in Deoghar, Munger, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Patna and Bokaro. He obtained his law degree from Delhi University after graduating from Ramjas College in New Delhi and started practicing law from Civil Court in Deoghar. He came to Ranchi and started practicing at Jharkhand High Court after it came into being.

He has been working as panel lawyer of CBI in the Jharkhand High Court.

Justice Rajesh Kumar, belonging to Nalanda district in Bihar, was born on October 26, 1968. He got his elementary education from Gauridutt Mandelia High School in Ranchi. After doing intermediate from St Xavier College in Ranchi, he went to New Delhi for getting graduation degree from Kirori Mal College in Mathematics.

He got his law degree from Delhi University and started practicing law from Tees Hazari Session Court in New Delhi. Later he started practicing in Ranchi Bench of Patna High Court. Before being appointed Judge of Jharkhand High Court, he had been working as a counsel of Jharkhand Government.
