MALONE 88, KENTUCKY WESLEYAN 58 Ty Jordan scored 20 points and Mitchell Spotleston finished with 18 to help the Pioneers stop a two-game losing streak and hand Kentucky Wesleyan its worst conference defeat since 1995. Jordan and Spotleson each hit four 3-pointers for Malone, which led by as many as 33 in the second half. Nate Sheppard finished 15 points and Djuro Pantos added 10.

WALSH 80, TREVECCA NAZARENE 65 At Nashville, Chandler Vaudrin registered a triple-double of 11 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the Cavaliers to their fourth straight win. Five Cavs (9-3, 6-2) scored in double figures, led by freshman Darryl Straughter’s 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor and 2-of-4 from 3-point range. Walsh’s Bo Furcron scored 16 points while teammates Sterling Christy and Conner Wess scored 14 each. Wess made four 3-pointers in nine attempts while Christy blocked five shots. Devin Whitfield scored 33 points on 12-of-16 shooting from the floor and 4-of-5 from the arc to lead Trevecca (2-13, 1-6).

MOUNT UNION 55, OTTERBEIN 42 A strong defensive effort helped the Purple Raiders pick up an OAC road win. Mount Union held the winless Cardinals to just 23.6 percent shooting from the field and used a 23-5 second half run to break open the game. Nathan Bower-Malone led the Purple Raiders with 11 points. D’Vontay Friga finished with 10.

KENTUCKY WESLEYAN 73, MALONE 67 At Owensboro, Ky., the Pioneers shot 38.5 percent from the floor and committed 23 turnovers in losing their fourth game in the last five tries. Sydney Wentling led Malone (4-8, 2-6) with 17 points off the bench. She made 5 of 9 shots from the field and 3 of 6 from 3-point range. Baylen Dyrlund totaled 14 points and seven rebounds, while Chrissie Vaughan scored 12 points for the Pioneers. Jenna Martin led Kentucky Wesleyan (7-6, 3-6) with 26 points, making 10 of 12 shots from the floor and all four of her 3-point attempts.

MOUNT UNION 80, OTTERBEIN 65 Rachel Tinkey scored a career-high 22 points to lead the Purple Raiders past the Cardinals. Tinkey hit five 3-pointers and also handed out four assists for Mount Union, which evened its OAC record at 3-3. Casey Morrissette finished with 18 points and Elena Rauhe added 11. The Purple Raiders outscored Otterbein 22-13 in the third quarter to build a double digit lead.

TREVECCA NAZARENE 60, WALSH 57 At Nashville, Alex Hochstedler missed a 3-pointer with two seconds left and the Cavaliers saw their three-game winning streak come to an end. Shelby Henkel led Walsh (8-6, 5-3) with 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals off the bench. Callie Hackett led Trevecca (4-11, 2-7) with 17 points, including two free throws with 14 seconds left to put her team up three points.

PURPLE RAIDERS WIN WAYNESBURG TITLE Fueled by four first-place finishers and 10 overall placers, 13th-ranked Mount Union won the team title with 206.5 points at the Waynesburg Invitational. Nolan Wochna (133 pounds), Alec Cotton (141), Luke Hernandez (149) and Michael McIntire (157) won their weight divisions. Wochna defeated seventh-ranked Ricky Cavallo of Johns Hopkins in the semifinals by a 5-4 decision 5-4.
