The BJP president attacked the government on the safety of women in Tripura saying out of total crime committed around 86 percent crime is committed against women in Tripura.
With the slogan of Chalo Paltai (Come let's change), BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday sounded the poll bugle of the BJP in Left Front ruled Tripura. Shah promised to institute probe into the Rose Valley chit-fund scam if voted to power in the state.

Shah addressed rallies in Ambassa and Udaipur on Sunday. The state is going to polls early this year. Shah in Udaipur said, "We want change not of chief minister or of party we want change for changing the lives of the people. We want to change the poverty."

In a broadside on ruling CPI(M) he said that despite ruling the state for 25 years, Tripura does not have 24-hour electricity supply, there is no road, employment, and women are unsafe. "What is Manik Sarkar-led government given, it has given Rose valley chit-fund scam, where hard earned money of people is siphoned off."

Shah said in last one year seven BJP workers are killed. "We are not afraid of violence. The more you spread the dirt of violence, Lotus will bloom. If you spread violence, people will give befitting reply. Don't be scared of CPI-M's violence. Left has ruled Kerala and West Bengal for long time however in these state there is large number of unemployment."

The BJP president attacked the government on the safety of women in Tripura saying out of total crime committed around 86 percent crime is committed against women in Tripura. "Cadres of the left Front is involved in these crime, who will catch them for the government belongs to them."

Shah said, "Out of 33 lakh population, 7 lakh are unemployed. There is no health facility in the state. While the country is free from malaria, Tripura still have malaria cases. Union health ministry sought scheme for Rs 130 Crore project from Tripura however Tripura government did not give any scheme."

The BJP president said that the High court has directed for a CBI probe into the chit-fund scam. However, the state government did nothing about it. "The countdown for the ruling Left Front government has started, we will spare none and bring to justice those involved in the scam even if they are hiding beneath the earth. If probe is done whole council of minister of the Left Front government will be in Tripura Central jail."

Promising to pay state government employees 7th pay commission as soon as a BJP chief minister is sworn in, he said state government employees are deprived for they are getting salaries as per the 4th pay commission.

"While per day wage of worker is Rs 340, in Tripura workers are getting Rs 170. The state government does not celebrate birthday anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Subash Chandra Bose and does not name airport after the king however the government celebrates birthday of Stalin," Shah rued.

Shah said that in the 13th finance commission, Tripura got Rs 7283 crore while in the 14th finance commission Tripura got a whopping Rs 25,000 crore. "Where has this money gone, it is time to say bye to Red flag. Another Rs 17,000 crore was given to the state for different schemes however money did not reach people."

Announcing that BJP will come to power in the state in March this year, Shah said, "Communist has been ousted across the world, Congress party is over across the country. What has the Communist and Congress to do in Tripura?"
