Wellesley sophomore Abby Comella won the 300 with a time of 40.9, which broke the previous meet record of 41.5, at the MSTCA Freshman-Sophomore Large School girls indoor track meet at Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday.

Natick freshman Emma Ford placed fourth in the mile with time of 5:27.71 while freshman Kate Connolly placed fourth in the 600 with a time 1:43.62 for the Redhawks as well.
The Natick 4x200 relay of sophomore Kylie Langan, freshman Nicole Frail, sophomore Ashley Warren, and sophomore Eme Su also finished fourth in a time of 1:52.37.
NORTON 55, DOVER-SHERBORN 25: Emma Lesser broke her own school record in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.5 but Dover-Sherborn (2-2, 2-2 TVL) fell to Norton in a Tri-Valley League meet.
Sydney McLaughlin won the 600 (1:54).
Dover-Sherborn heads to Medfield on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. for a TVL matchup.
Boys Indoor Track
BROGAN WINS MILE AT FRESHMAN-SOPHOMORE MEET: Franklin’s Tyler Brogan took first place in the mile (4:26.75) and set a new meet record in the process at the Freshman-Sophomore Large Schools meet at the Reggie Lewis Center.
Cam Harrington finished in sixth place in the 1000 with a time of 2:47.41
Natick sophomore Matthew George placed eighth in the 2-mile in a personal best time of 10:33.68.
NORTON 45, DOVER-SHERBORN 41: Erik Linden finished in first place in the mile (4:37) but Dover-Sherborn (3-1, 3-1 TVL) fell to Norton in a Tri-Valley League meet.
Angus Goodearl won the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.9 seconds. Joseph Bulotsky won the shot put with a throw of 36 feet and 8.5 inches.
“The meet came down to the relay and we lost by less than a second,” Dover-Sherborn coach Maura Bennett said. “It was exciting and our boys all ran personal bests. The overall time is the second fastest we have run in school history, less than a second off of our school record. As of now, Norton has the fastest relay and we have the second in the league. As heartbreaking as the loss was, we will be stronger for the league meet.”
Girls Basketball
FRANKLIN 56, OLIVER AMES 50: Junior Bea Bondhus scored 11 points as Franklin (4-4, 3-2 Hock) outlasted Oliver Ames in a Hockomock League contest.
Freshman Elizabeth Wilson had 11 points and sophomore Megan O’Connell added 10 points.
“Kayla Raymond is a tremendous player for Oliver Ames,” Franklin coach John Leighton said. “Bre Atwood and Kelsey MacCallum combined to hold her to just 12 points when she averages over 20. They managed to score 11 points combined themselves. Our offense also stepped up as well.
“They were double-teaming our center Ali Brigham the whole game, but everyone else stepped up.”
Gymnastics
ALGONQUIN PLACES SECOND IN QUAD MEET: Aaliyah Yan placed second in the all-around as Algonquin (3-1) lost to Medway-Millis-Holliston but beat Westborough and Shrewsbury to go 2-1 on the day.
Medway-Millis-Holliston won with 140.9 points. Algonquin had 137.9 points while Shrewsbury (129.75) and Westborough (123.3) finished in third and fourth, respectively.
Yan had an 8.7 for a tie for third place with teammate Julia Callahan on the bars, while finishing with a 9.1 on her floor routine and a 9.0 for third place on the beam.
