The BJP Krushka Morcha is going to organsie a farmers’ representatives’ meeting here on January 8 to find solutions to the problems of sale of paddy faced by farmers of the State. Representatives from all 30 districts would participate in the meeting, informed BJP Krushka Morcha State general secretary Surath Biswal at a Press meet here on Saturday.
The meeting would pass a resolution on the farmers’ problems and a roadmap would be prepared for a State-wide stir so that the farmers can sell their paddy at the minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 1,550, said Biswal.
BJP Krushka Morcha State president Sibaji Mohanty, National VP Maheswar Sahu and State general secretary Samir Patra have taken stock of the situations at 25 paddy procurement centres (mandis) of eight districts, he informed.
Among others, BJP State vice-president Sameer Mohanty, secretary Lekhashree Samantasinhar and convenor Golak Prasad Mahapatra were present.
