A TEAM of taxi drivers in York helped collect sweets, treats and gifts for children in hospital this Christmas.

Saf Din, chairman of the York Hackney Carriage Association, said: "Just some good news. York taxi drivers collected some funds and donated lots of treats to poorly sick children at ward 17 of York Hospital on Christmas Eve, and we were grateful for all donations."
