Red Cross

The West Alabama chapter of the American Red Cross, 1622 Lurleen Wallace Blvd., Northport, needs comfort care kit items for local fire victims. Items that are most needed include hairbrushes, hand lotion, dental floss, hair conditioner, feminine products and toothpaste. Call Beakie Powell, executive director, at 205-758-3608.

The Special Programming for Achievement Network, which aims to prevent the incarceration of at-risk youth through counseling and education, needs SD cards for camera, card stock and copy paper. Also for the community garden tools, manual or electric, tiller, weed eater(s), hoes, rakes, water hoses, seeds for fall plantings (collards, potatoes, etc.), gardening gloves, weight bench and exercise equipment, men's belts, vacuum cleaner. I Care Food Bank
