Liverpool fans have turned on Philippe Coutinho

Coutinho will realise his dream of moving to Barcelona despite Liverpool's "great reluctance" to let the Brazilian playmaker leave for a British record fee worth up to £142million.

The 25-year-old was the subject of a £118million bid from the Catalan club in August, an approach Liverpool rejected, but he is now heading to the Nou Camp after a deal was agreed on Saturday.

Although it's gone down terribly with angry Kopites fuming at the transfer.

One tweeted Coutinho and said: "f**k off you money grabbing b*****d stay with liverpool you midget c*** im 14 and im taller than you you f****t."

"f**k u phil...hope u immediately get get injured.....c*** bag," wrote one bitter Liverpool supporter.

TWITTER

Another said: 'Thanks for going on strike twice, thanks for refusing to play in the champions league play off, thanks for leaving us mid season."

While another added: "Oh @Phil_Coutinho don’t do a stupid statement how much you loved the club n all that crap we don’t want to hear it enjoy @FCBarcelona and good riddance #LFC #norespect."

The 25-year-old was the subject of a £118million bid from the Catalan club in August, an approach Liverpool rejected, but he is now heading to the Nou Camp after a deal was agreed on Saturday.

A statement read: "Liverpool can confirm Philippe Coutinho will be leaving the club after a transfer agreement was reached with Barcelona, subject to medical and agreement of personal terms.

"The player now has permission to complete the usual formalities to conclude the transfer immediately."

Barcelona made Coutinho their number-one target after his countryman Neymar made a world-record £200.6million move to Paris St Germain in August and he will sign a five-and-a-half-year contract.

Another fan added; "Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp stressed his club had done everything possible to persuade Coutinho to remain at Anfield, but revealed the player had been "desperate" to move to Spain ever since July. All three tagged Coutinho in their tweet.

While another fumed: "Thanks for fucking off half way through season when we really needed you. Best of luck."
