Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder committed more than just an ordinary fashion faux pas this weekend while visiting Jax Taylor for his father's memorial service.
Schroeder captioned her bathroom selfie, taken with her reality TV co-star Kristen Doute and friend Rachel O'Brien, by dubbing them, "criminal chic," "Tupac chic," and "Nazi chic" -- with the latter meant to describe her own look of wearing a black schoolboy hat.
@Andy why oh why is this happening in 2018? How does Stassi think this is ok? Tone deaf, offensive, ignorant....she really never learns pic.twitter.com/JTKycGrope
— Duff McRaeRae (@lilshilo) January 6, 2018After the image earned immediate ire from followers who condemned her insensitive reference to the hate group, she deleted and re-posted the picture by changing the descriptor of her own look to "#Elsa-Indiana Jones chic" and calling the re-post an "appropriate redo."
Of course, not everyone was satisfied by her decision to re-post with an adjusted caption, and social media users began contacting others with a professional connection to Schroeder with the hashtag "#DumpStassi."
For Schroeder and Doute's parts, though, the small screen stars seem to be more irritated by the backlash than the actual mistake at hand, based on their subsequent tweets.

— kristen doute ðŸ' (@kristendoute) January 6, 2018Perhaps so much time spent in the crazy bar haze of the SUR circle has clouded these ladies' judgment, but it looks like Lisa Vanderpump might need to offer some on-air social sensitivity training to some of her staff to get past the bad look of this. After all, the internet is forever -- especially for reality TV stars.
