Mumbai, Jan 7: A fire broke out on the first floor of three-storey Shiv Shakti Industrial State building in Lower Parel area of Mumbai in Maharashtra during wee hours on Sunday. Fire tenders have rushed to the spot and the situation has been brought under control. No casualties were reported till the time of filing this report.

The incident comes days after the major fire that engulfed Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel on December 26, last year. A total of 14 people had lost their lives in the incident. [Also read: Kamala Mills Fire Was Caused Due to Flying Embers From Hookahs at Mojo’s Bistro]

On Saturday, a major fire broke out at Cinevista Studio at Kanjurmarg in Mumbai. At least 7 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. No person was reported injured.

Speaking to ANI, Deputy Fire Officer, Mumbai, said, “8 fire engines, 6 water tankers and an ambulance was sent as soon as Level-3 fire was declared. Filming of a serial was underway when fire broke out in Cinevista studio. Fire raged because of the wooden set. There were no causalities in the incident.”

The massive fire that broke out around 8 pm on Saturday in the Cinevista Studio in Mumbai’s Kanjurmarg has been doused. At the time of the incident, two TV serials were being shot at the studio – Bepanaah (Colors TV) and Haasil (Sony Entertainment Television). The Cinevista studio has over 30 shooting locations.
