The president and lawmakers are currently working to come to an agreement on a bill to fund the government by Jan. 19 in order to avoid a government shut down. Congress also needs to come up with a legislative fix for DACA protections by March 5.
Trump has said he will not accept a fix for DACA that does not include funding for the border wall as a part of the agreement.

Durbin said the document showed Trump is willing to risk a government shut down in exchange for the border wall.
