LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sean Penn and Leonardo DiCaprio used the eighth annual benefit for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization to publicly praise each other's philanthropic work.

DiCaprio was the guest of honor at the $15,000-a-plate fundraising dinner Saturday night in Los Angeles, which raised more than $3.5 million for Penn's Haitian Relief Organization.

DiCaprio was recognized for his 20 years of work supporting environmental causes through his namesake foundation. Penn called the actor "a great inspiration." DiCaprio said the same of Penn, citing him as an inspiration and role model.

Brad Pitt, Susan Sarandon, Lena Dunham, Garcelle Beauvais, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke and Kit Harrington were among the guests at the gala dinner at Milk Studios, which concluded with a performance by singer-songwriter James Taylor.
