Reader Letter: Students thankful for skate lending service
Art Roth, co-ordinator of the skate lending program at the All Saints Church in downtown Windsor, sorts through the skates Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016.
On Dec. 21, the Grade 7 and 8 students from St. Angela Catholic School were able to spend the afternoon ice skating at Lanspeary Lions Rink.
Many of the students would not have been able to participate without the generosity of All Saints Anglican Church. Art Roth and his team of volunteers lent us over 50 pairs of skates and many helmets. What a great opportunity for many of us who have never skated before.
We would like to thank Art and All Saints Anglican Church for lending us their skates. This fun-filled day wouldn’t have been possible without them. Hopefully, this program can continue because we are already asking our teachers to take us back.
John Foglia, Grade 8, St. Angela Catholic School
