(MENAFN) In Casamance, the southern Senegalese region, a vicious attack had erupted and caused the death of thirteen people.

According to staff from a hospital who witnessed the bodied, the casualties are all underage with few shot dead and some beheaded.

The attack came amid a conflict which had been disrupting Casamance for a long time over independence demand between the government and the MFDC rebel group, causing countless fatalities.
