All branches of UCO Bank in Jharkhand Circle celebrated the 75th Foundation Day of the bank on Saturday. The Bank was founded by industrialist Ghanshyam Das Birla on January 6, 1943. The main programme was organised at Ranchi Circle office presided by DGM Ravi Bhushan. He, on the occasion, expressed gratitude to all well-wishers and customers for continued cooperation and faith. Circle Manager, Md Sabir reiterated the pledge of the bank towards making a digital India, on the occasion.
Later in the day, the Circle Manager handed over a water purifier to the inmates of Cheshire Home, Bariatu under CSR activities. Several other gift items were also handed over to the kids.
Chief Guest of the programme CGM, NABARD, S Mandal praised the works of UCO Bank under CSR and said the bank has been spreading the message of unity and compassion. He said that the bank will again shoot on the top to its customer friendly orientation.
The Circle Manager said on the occasion that the bank was committed towards its corporate social responsibility. Notably, in two branches of the bank in the State special cells have been made to assist senior citizens. The Bank has notified four villages as digital ones and has adopted them. Also, under the government directions four Aadhar enrolment centres have been established.
Deputy Circle head NK Verma alongwith AA Odeya, officials and employees of Circle office and branch offices were present on the occasion and made the programme a success.
