LaSalle-Peru Co-op wins Rams Relays swim meet

The LaSalle-Peru Co-op swimming team won the final event of the meet and edged the Washington Co-op for the team title in the 39th annual Rams Relays at the Richwoods pool on Saturday.

LP trailed the Panthers by a point going into the 400 free relay. The team of Jacob Pocivasek, Tyler Ditchfield, Zach Nelson and Jordan Ovanic posted a winning time of 3:29.19 for LP’s winning points.

The Cavaliers won six of the 12 events at the meet and totaled 152 points, three more than the Panthers.

Ovanic, Ditchfield and Pocivasek all won five events for LP, including the 4x25 freestyle relay, which did not count toward team point totals.

Ty Barclay and Dawson Dobbelaire were on two winning relays for the Panthers.
