Valuables worth Rs 40000 and Rs 20000 cash were burgled from Bafna Colony under Hanumanganj police station area on Thursday.
The victim Shamima Bi had gone to meet her relatives in Sarangpur when she returned the valuables were found burgled.
A complaint was lodged with the police by the victim stating that she had gone to her relatives in Sarangpur on December 28 and on January 1 she received information that the door of her house was found open and when she returned on Thursday the valuables were found burgled.
The victim claimed that the gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 40000 and Rs 20000 cash were found burgled.
After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 50000 was burgled from Firdos Nagar under Hanumanganj police station area on Thursda.
The victim Amit Dubey had gone for some work on Wednesday and when he returned on Thursday the door was found open and when he entered the valuables were found burgled.
Victim approached the police and lodged a complaint stating that he had gone for official work on Wednesday and on his returned he found that the gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 50000 were burgled.
The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The victim works with a private firm and used to visit frequently regarding work.
