Bigg Boss 11 started with 12 commoners and only 6 celebrities. Over the period of three months, the game has boiled down to only to three commoners and three celebs. Yes, more than half of the celebrities have been evicted from the show! But well, well, Luv Tyagi, Puneesh Sharma and Akash Dadlani proved that you don’t need to be a famous person to maintain a position on the show, but all you need is a good game plan! Luv Tyagi has struck a chord with millions across the nation. It is hard to believe that a guy emerged from nowhere and rose to fame like this. Puneesh Sharma is yet another intriguing example of commoners claiming their zone against celebs. In fact, he is the unique example in Bigg Boss to date. The man has already won a reality show in the past, but failed to gain any recognition after that. This search for fame made him enter Bigg Boss 11 as a commoner and start from scratch. Well, the fact that he is still on the show should make us all know that he is a damn good reality TV material. Speaking about reality TV material, how can we not talk about Akash Dadlani. The man has the all the traits of a reality TV star. The aspiring rap artist might have trouble in finding a place for himself in the music industry, but reality TV shows will welcome him with open arms. It must not have been easy to survive against the likes of Hina Khan and Shilpa Shinde. The actresses have a backing of millions of fans, to begin with, thanks to their long careers in TV. To compete with that, Luv, Akash and Puneesh needed a little bit of luck, a mindful of planning, some grouping, and a hell lot of guts. They could have bowed down to the tantrums of these stars – which they, of course, threw at the beginning – but our commoners refused to be treated any differently than them. They stood up for themselves, every time someone pointed a finger at them.
Imagine the love Luv must have cultivated for he has survived voting against Priyank Sharma and Hiten Tejwani during his tenure on the show. Looking at the popularity that commoners have gained on Bigg Boss 11, we won’t be surprised if makers decide to make the next season all about commoners.
