The Giants' coaching search took co-owner John Mara, general manager Dave Gettleman and assistant general manager Kevin Abrams to Foxboro, Massachusetts, on Friday to interview Patriots coordinators Josh McDaniels and Matt Patricia. While the Giants brass was in New England, rumors swirled about the organization landing a much bigger prize: Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
While the Belichick fantasy looms in the background, the Giants continued their coaching search on Saturday. Here's where things stand on Saturday night:
NFL: Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings

Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur became the fourth candidate to interview for the Giants' head-coaching job on Saturday afternoon. Mara, Gettleman and Abrams traveled to Bloomington, Minnesota, to interview Shurmur while the Vikings are off for their first-round bye. Shurmur, 52, already has interviewed with the Bears, Cardinals and Lions.
